1. Service Overview

Optaxis (the “App”) is a photography community and companion toolbox for medium format, large format, technical camera, 135 flagship and film photographers — “Where the optical axis meets community.”

Professional tools: Scheimpflug tilt, depth of field, hyperfocal, shift correction, focal length & angle of view (with stitch pano), built-in light meter, AR composition viewfinder (live B&W, RGB histogram, DoF overlay, Sun / Moon / Milky Way / 88 constellations / 120 deep-sky objects), ND filter, focus stacking, bellows extension compensation (LiDAR auto-ranging on supported devices), panorama planner, timelapse, astro & Milky Way (including 2026–2035 solar / lunar eclipse catalog), Moon / Sun trajectory, flash GN, print size, gear comparison (backs / bodies / lenses), shooting weather, FilmDev, Fujifilm film-simulation EXIF recognition, Personal EI calibration, darkroom timer, white balance.

Community: Post publishing (multi-image / hashtag feed / before-after), hashtag and Fujifilm film-simulation follow with aggregated feeds, pinned post on profile, post context cards (linked shooting log / Kit / film roll / simulation chip with reverse index), global player map, photo-spot sharing & meet-up status, photo challenges, daily inspiration, galleries & collections, brand verification badges, four-language tips articles & news.

Records: Shooting log (Film Mode, 12 fields, cloud sync), shoot plans (cloud sync, offline cache, WeatherKit forecast, gear checklist linkage, linked log entries).

Communication: Direct and group messaging (recall / edit, quote reply, reactions, read receipts, search, view-once, group announcement, group QR, group management), follow / friend system, voice and video calls (TRTC, with PiP, in-call camera, image annotation, stay-in-chat after hangup), @Xiaoguang AI assistant, AI photo critique, subscription credential QR.

By using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.

2. User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, please use it under the guidance of a parent or guardian.

3. Subscription

The App offers an auto-renewable subscription (“Optaxis Pro”) with the following plans:

• Monthly: auto-renews monthly.
• Annual: auto-renews annually at a discounted rate.

Subscription terms:

• Some campaigns may offer limited-time free trials.
• Subscription fees are charged to your Apple ID.
• Subscriptions auto-renew within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel any time in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• After cancellation, benefits remain until the end of the current period.
• Promo-code free trials auto-renew at the selected plan rate if not cancelled.

4. User Content & Intellectual Property

Content you publish through the App (photos, text, comments, messages, group chat) is your personal creation. By publishing, you grant the App a non-exclusive license to display it within the platform.

Post editing: You may edit your published posts (title, description, photo, city, gear). Edited content replaces the original; edit history is recorded.

Publishing limits: Pro Monthly may publish up to 30 posts per month; Pro Annual up to 60 posts per month. Up to 80 MB per photo. Limits reset the following month.

Copyright: Photos uploaded to gallery, map, or chat remain the copyright of the uploader. Optaxis claims no ownership. No user may download, copy, repost, or commercially use others’ uploads without explicit authorization.

Platform license: By publishing, you grant Optaxis a non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable license to display, cache, and transmit your content within the platform — solely for platform operation. Deleting your content terminates the license.

You are responsible for what you publish and warrant that:

• you own the rights or have proper authorization;
• it does not infringe any third-party rights;
• it contains no illegal, harmful, threatening, insulting, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate material.

Infringement complaints: If you believe content infringes your copyright, contact us via the support page with evidence — we will review within a reasonable time.

5. Community Guidelines

When using the global map, sharing, message board, DMs and group chats, you must:

• respect others — no offensive, discriminatory or harassing content;
• no spam, ads or photography-unrelated content;
• no impersonation or false identity;
• no pornographic, violent or illegal content;
• no misuse of platform features to interfere with others;
• use in-app reporting and blocking if you encounter violations.

We reserve the right to remove violating content and ban violating users from community features without prior notice.

5a. Chat & Messaging

• keep chat related to photography and related topics — no commercial promotion, pyramid schemes, or other unlawful activities;
• no harassing, threatening, insulting or inappropriate messages;
• comply with group rules; respect group owners and admins;
• owners and admins may mute members or restrict their image posting;
• muted or restricted users must not circumvent the limit by other means;
• do not share others’ private contact info or addresses without consent;
• a sensitive-word filter is in place; please use appropriate language;
• we do not actively monitor chat, but reserve the right to review reports.

5b. Friends

• do not send frequent friend requests to strangers;
• do not exploit friend relationships for malicious purposes (information theft, spam);
• deleting friends or blocking is irreversible.

5c. Location Sharing

• location sharing is voluntary and can be stopped any time;
• shared location is visible only to authorized friends or group members;
• do not use location to track, harass or invade privacy;
• we are not responsible for personal-safety issues from location sharing — use precise sharing with caution.

5d. Group Management

• group owners hold the highest privileges (appoint admins, transfer ownership, set public/private);
• admins may mute and restrict image posting;
• public groups are open to all; private groups need an admin invite;
• privileges must not be abused;
• removed or muted users may appeal by contacting us.

5e. AI Assistant (@Xiaoguang)

• AI is exclusive to Pro subscribers — Monthly 20/day, Annual 40/day shared across all AI features; free users have no AI access;
• AI responses are reference only and do not constitute professional advice;
• do not use AI to generate illegal, harmful, insulting, or non-photography content;
• do not bypass the daily quota by technical means;
• AI replies are visible to group members — do not include sensitive personal info in queries;
• we may adjust quota or feature scope, or pause the service, without prior notice.

5f. Message Recall & Editing

• recall and edit must occur within 2 minutes of sending;
• recalled messages show a “message recalled” notice; original content is not visible;
• edited messages display an “edited” label;
• do not abuse recall to evade community guidelines;
• admins may have recorded content before recall when reviewing reports.

5g. View-Once

• view-once photos auto-destroy after one viewing (10-second countdown);
• chat messages are stored permanently on device; the server retains them for 3 days for offline delivery;
• do not use view-once to spread violating content to evade review.

5h. Follow System

• do not use follow for harassment (rapid follow/unfollow loops);
• do not use automation to bulk-follow for improper exposure;
• your follower and following counts are visible to others;
• followed users receive push notifications — please use respectfully.
• hashtag and Fujifilm film-simulation follow share the same rules — no automation or rapid follow / unfollow loops to manipulate aggregated feeds.

5i. Subscription Credential QR

• QR is for personal use only — no transfer, sale or sharing;
• no forging, tampering, or technical duplication of others’ credentials;
• QR verifies your subscription status; abuse may result in suspension or termination.

6. Intellectual Property

The App’s design, code, icons, brand identity and other content are protected by intellectual-property law. ALPA is a registered trademark of ALPA Capaul & Weber Ltd; this App is a third-party tool and is not directly affiliated with ALPA officially.

7. Disclaimer

• calculation results (Scheimpflug, focal-length conversion, etc.) are reference only — we are not liable for losses arising from their use;
• weather data is sourced from Apple WeatherKit — provided for shooting reference only, not guaranteed for absolute accuracy;
• the global player map shows city-level locations only — no precise coordinates are collected or shown;
• we are not responsible for content published by third-party users.

8. Service Changes & Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or terminate any feature at any time. We assume no compensation liability for changes to free features. For paid subscribers, we will give advance notice of significant changes.

9. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance.
